Bethany originated the starring role of Frances Farmer in the Off-Broadway original cast of Brilliance, which made its New York premiere at The Players Theatre in 2022.

The musical tells the life story of the real life Hollywood movie star Frances Farmer in the 1930s and 40s. Brilliance takes audiences from the beginning of her career, through her unprecedented success as to her involuntary commitment to an insane asylum by her own mother. Frances’ story aligns with current day conservatorships of stars like Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes, Demi Lovato, and the 1.3 million other Americans who still suffer through conservatorships.
